The Business Mission

Secure Data Software, Inc. was founded on July 1st, 2004, and on that day the first line of Andromeda code was written.

Secure Data Software, Inc. has a significant organic advantage in our use of our tool Andromeda, which allows us to keep deadlines that others cannot, to be price competitive, to provide plenty of face-time with customers, to provide extensive documentation, and to do all of this without using offshore programmers.

The business mission of Andromeda was to give us that advantage, to allow us to become a company focused on customer service and sales, knowing that any customer needs could be confidently met.

The ultimate end goal is to come as close as possible to catalog-style pricing of custom software development, realizing the longtime goal of full commoditization.

Product Lines

The organic advantages of Andromeda have allowed us to bid for and win projects even against mature and well-established companies with products that had feature counts we have no hope of matching in the near term. We believe the reason for our success is the freedom Andromeda gives us to spend plenty of time with customers, as our production line is running smoothly and efficiently.

This is why Secure Data Software intends to enter as many markets as possible. Every project we pursue is almost 100% likely to have an off-the-shelf alternative, but these alternatives only confirm the value of the market. If we can enter the market with a significant organic advantage in efficiency, then we stand a chance of gaining significant share with superior price and service.

What It Is

Andromeda is a unified set of programming tools that greatly reduces the time it takes to produce database-centered business software. At its heart it allows us to specify all of the "business rules" for an application into a single data file, which Andromeda uses to build applications for us.

We do not claim that Andromeda makes software "easy" in some magical way, the job itself is sometimes hard and nothing can change that. Instead, Andromeda allows us to put human effort where it is most needed -- into database design, and then Andromeda
automates everything after that, giving us "push-button" software development after the effort of database design is complete.

The result is that Secure Data Software is much more a sales and customer service company than a technology company, we want our customers to find us always available, helpful, knowledgable, and able to produce for them painlessly, on-time, and on-budget. These things have come about as a result of Andromeda.
